-------

We would like to bring to your attention a new event for the academic and research community. There are special prices that allow you to upgrade your agIdeas pass to also attend this conference. Remember that you can share these passes amongst your colleagues.

agIdeas International Research Lab is a one day conference to be held on Monday 2nd May. The event has been created in response to requests from the academic community for an opportunity for visiting and local lecturers to get together and share knowledge whilst there are so many people in town together.

The program has been selected from international submissions via an independent peer review panel managed by ICOGRADA. The resulting program raises interesting and challenging debate around the theme:

Where is design practice at today?
In a debate dominated by methodological discourse, the role and importance of design practice is often overlooked. This interdisciplinary forum gives you and other members of the international design community the opportunity to invigorate the design discourse by sharing ways that design practice is being carried out, advanced and used to produce effective results.
Papers will focus on:
Multi-disciplinary applications of design practice and its outcomes for the broader community.
The relationship between design education and design practice.

We encourage you to support this event and to build an important forum for rigorous international design dialogue. See the program here http://www.agideas.net/uploads//2011/pdf-downloads/agIdeas2011_Lab_eProgram.pdf<http://www.agideas.net/uploads/2011/pdf-downloads/agIdeas2011_Lab_eProgram.pdf>

Please let us know if you would like to upgrade your ticket to a 4-day pass to include this new and exciting event.

Best regards,
Karen

Hi Lorraine,

I hop your well. We are delighted that you have registered for agIdeas. The program looks like one of our most exciting to date.

It was brought to our attention that one of our new events may be of interest to the Secondary School design teachers. I realise most of the teachers are on holidays but wondered if you would be able to pass on the following information to them.
