[Technical] safe removal of usb memory sticks

Hi Kevin,

Have you tried the stick in a different port, or after wiggling it a bit.
It sounds to me like there is a fault in the device - perhaps a physical
connection broken - perhaps an electrical short.

Time for a new stick!
