Hi everyone,

I am planning to offer system engineering in our school next year. I have read the study design the book written by Pat O'Neill and Aaron Powter.

Anyone would like to share their experiences or suggestions in teaching this subject? If you would like to share some resources, that will be very helpful.

Regards,

Hello Weiyuan,

Systems engineering is a fantastic subject and was always my favourite subject to teach. Feel free to click on my YouTube channel link at the bottom of this email and click on my playlist titled "STEM Projects". There are some ideas for you there.

Unfortunately I haven't taught the subject for the past 3 years as my main focus has shifted from Systems and is now on Engineering Studies 22209VIC (VET Cert II). I also have a playlist on my channel which you see some of the projects I've done with previous students (drift trikes, 3D printers, oscillating engines).

Weiyuan, I'm sure there are plenty of people out here in Edulists land that would share some resources with you. I'm the trade training centre manager here at Harvester College. We are the VET / VCAL campus of Sunshine College. This May our centre is hosting the DATTA Vic conference. If you come to conference look me up and I'll be more than happy to share my resources with you. The details for the conference can be found here:

Kind regards, Aaron Powter
