PROGRAM COORDINATOR - ART, CRAFT AND COOKERY COMPETITIONS

*         Permanent Part-time - Ascot Vale.  $60-65K (inc Super) Pro-rata

*         2-3 days pw with flexibility to increase days during June to September annually

*         Combine your great organisational skills and love of all things Art and Craft.
This is your opportunity to be an important part of one of Melbourne's most iconic annual events as you prepare, organise and deliver the Art, Craft and Cookery competitions and displays for the Royal Melbourne Show.
Whilst you have a preference for, and can manage with part-time work for most of the year, you also have the flexibility to increase your days and hours as required in the lead up to the events. You are also able to work the full eleven days of the Show.
This fantastic opportunity will see you work with key stakeholders and interest groups to plan, organise and deliver competitions, exhibitions and public programs that are relevant, credible, sustainable and that deliver a superior customer and exhibitor experience.
Key activities include:

*         Preparation of timetables and schedules and database management

*         Identifying and engaging attractions/exhibitors/entertainment and supporters

*         Layout and construction of infrastructure and the organisation of equipment, supplies and services

*         Planning and supervising the logistics for arrival and departure of exhibitors

*         Coordination of support staff, committees, judges, stewards, casual staff, equipment, suppliers, services, exhibits and exhibitors

*         Building relationships with key industry participants and undertaking market research to continuously improve competitions and benchmarking programs.
In addition to your passion for Art, Craft and Cookery events and competitions, you must have excellent administration, and excellent organisational and time management skills.
Previous experience in organising events and/or competitions will be a distinct advantage, and knowledge and/or interest in Arts, Craft and Cookery competitions and displays is essential.
Your communication and interpersonal skills will allow you to develop and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Highly collaborative, and customer focussed, you also have the ability to lead and bring people together around tasks, and display the energy and enthusiasm to drive innovation and successfully manage change.
