VITTA Call for Papers - Closes Friday 31 July

 VITTA would like to officially announce that call for papers for the VITTA
Annual Conference 2009 *Slide to Open ~ Digital Learning* must close on
Friday 31 July.

*Slide to Open* will focus on flexible and diverse learning using digital
technologies for contemporary learning and teaching. If you have an
interesting story to tell about the use of ICT in the classroom, please
submit a paper for consideration in the program. Successful presenters will
not only have the opportunity to share their knowledge and skills with
others, but will also receive a free day at the VITTA conference on the day
of their presentation (one presenter per session only).

*Slide to Open* will be held at Flemington Racecourse from Monday 23 –
Wednesday 25 November (pre-conference workshops on Sunday 22 Nov).  This
years program has been expanded to include music technology and will offer
delegates a range of professional learning activities including:

   - Contemporary learning across all study areas for students K-12 in the
   digital age
   - Strategies to assist in the teaching of senior, middle and junior
   levels of ICT specialist studies
   - ICT leadership for principals, eLearning and curriculum directors
   - VET IT and VET Interactive Digital Media (formerly Multimedia)
   - Online, flexible, mobile and collaborative learning K-12
   - The latest in Music technology and digital learning
   - The latest information about the new VCE Information Technology Study
   Design to be taught in 2011
   - Innovative and emerging technologies
   - ICT and the Victorian Essential Learning Standards
   - Interdisciplinary learning and ICT immersion and integration
   - Digital content and creation for the classroom
   - ICT student and career pathways
   - Open Source, Free and Commercial software for digital learning

 *Who can submit? *

   - Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary teachers
   - Senior IT, VET IT and Multimedia teachers
   - ICT and Curriculum Leaders
   - Careers Advisers
   - ICT industry and Education Partners
   - Principals and Leadership teams
   - School technicians
   - Music teachers
   - Commercial providers
   - Anyone who can contribute to ICT in education and transforming teaching
   and learning

 *What types of sessions?*

   - Lecture
   - Lab
   - Debate
   - Forum
   - Tour
   - Pre-Conference event

 Call for papers must close on Friday July 31. Don't miss out on your
