Cisco coursesHi Maggie,

There should be an article describing the Cisco CCNA in some detail in Infonet that I wrote last year.

Your timing could not have been better in asking for information about Cisco. The reason is that the Forest Hill College academy participates along with other academies who wish to do so in the annual Victorian Cisco networking competition. As Cisco is a 2 year course there are 2 separate competitions, one for each year level. These take around 4 hours or so.
Recent Victorian Cisco competition results for 2008: 1st year Forest Hill was runner up with a score of 97% with Rowville winning with 100%.
2nd year Forest Hill won the competition and competed in the National competition against TAFEs, Institutes, and Universities in Australia and New Zealand. Basically state winners took on each other. Last Wednesday Forest Hill WON that national competition and will now take on 12 countries running Cisco in the Asia Pacific region. So, you can tell your student these are some of the opportunities apart from industry qualifications in Networking he/she can take up.

Best Wishes

Would someone post some information and perhaps links to Cisco courses? I have a student who wishes to do this study next year.

  Thanks

  Maggie
