Subject: [Year 12 SofDev] Curriculum Enrichment Programs for Schools
atSwinburne (apologies for cross posts)

Hello Everyone,

I have been working with Swinburne's Faculty of Information and
Communication Technologies to develop curriculum specific and innovative
programs for students in Years 9-12. My goal as an ICT educator is to
raise the profile of ICT in schools, whilst developing new programs and
workshops to assist current secondary school students and their
teachers.

In conjunction with Swinburne's academic staff, new hands-on VCE
curriculum focussed workshops have been designed and are now available
for students and teachers. These workshops are linked to VCE Business
Management, IT Applications, Physics and Software Development and will
give students hands on experience and theoretic knowledge to enrich
their current learning. In addition to these programs we also have
workshops and presentations available to years 9 and 10 students (full
details can be seen in the attached guide).

Having worked as a secondary school IT teacher I know first hand how
beneficial such workshops are for students and teachers.

Attached to this email is the Swinburne ICT Education Programs guide
that contains information for all programs. For further information
visit:
http://www.swin.edu.au/ict/schools

Please contact me to if you would like to discuss these workshops
further.

Cheers,

Rob Mercer
