Hi Kevin,

We have a 80% VCE minimum attendance rate discounted for any absence
with a medical certificate or genuine family reasons.
If a student does not meet the attendance requirement they are
ineligible for satisfactory completion of the VCE unit.

Regards
Kevork

Hi all,
I am struggling a bit with our schools minimum attendance
requirement.

In the VCE handbook P63 it states "All VCE units require 50 hours of
class time. A student needs to attend sufficient class time to complete

work. The SCHOOL SETS MINIMUM CLASS TIME AND ATTENDANCE RULES. ..."
(my capitals)
And on P80
"7.1.2 VCE Not Satisfactory unit result
The student receives N for the unit when one or more of the outcomes
are
not achieved because:
.....* there has been a substantial breach of rules *including school

attendance rules*.

The N result should be used for students who only partly complete work

*or whose attendance records breach school rules."
*(my highlight)

So can i ask in deep respect - what is your school attendance rule?

regards
Kevin Feely
