Hi Andrew

For us, the normal AUP for all downloads applies when the students do so from the School network and if they bring to school content that they have downloaded from home

These sections of our AUP apply in this case:

7. I will not:
- access, or attempt to access, inappropriate, age restricted or objectionable material; - download, save or distribute such material by copying, storing, printing or showing it to others;
...

8. If I accidentally access inappropriate material, I will:
- not show it to other students
- report the incident to a teacher immediately.

9. I will comply with the Copyright amendment Act 2006 and not download or upload at School any files such as music, videos, games or software programs without the permission of a teacher.

14. I understand that the School can audit my use of ICT to ensure my downloads are not excessive and are in accordance with the download policy.
15. I understand that the above rules apply to any personally owned electronic device that I bring to School and that the School accepts no responsibility for their replacement or repair if lost, stolen or damaged.
16. I understand that any violation of the above directions amounts to unethical conduct, is in breach of the Schoolʼs expectations and, in some instances, may constitute a criminal offence. 17. I understand that the School has procedures if this agreement is breached which includes parental consultation, being blocked from the School network for a period of time, suspension and (in extreme cases) expulsion.

Hope this is helpful

Ta

However it it did force the non-Mac user to get use to the Mac environment in order to get to the Windows side and as a result, many are now sticking with the Mac side and only using Windows for the rare app that doesn't run on Mac.

On top of that, there is a restriction of 5 devices to one itunes account. Those of you with more than 5 iOS devices, how do you handle that to provide uniformity ?
