[Offtopic] SchoolTool 1.0 released

Five years in the making, free and open source, developed by the
Shuttleworth Foundation, one of the developers Tom Hofmann is a prolific and
interesting blogger (

Just from my knowledge of the developers I'm confident that this is a great
product but am stumped by how it will get around the systems already in
place. The home grown system we have in South Australia (EDSAS) is
incredibly clunky and unfriendly, I'm not aware of anyone who thinks it is
good

any thoughts about this?
