[Offtopic] Physics in the UK

It's fairly straight forward. The cat is both worried and not worried at 
the same time! ;-)

I'm worried, when you have a media/press that (feels it?) has to dumb 
stuff down to get a story watched, and you watch students leave subjects 
that are perceived as hard because they want to maximise their ENTER or 
won't accept the challenge, you get pessimistic.
