1: "The National Literacy and Numeracy Week (NLNW) Awards for Schools 
recognise the outstanding work being carried out by schools and school 
communities to improve the literacy and numeracy outcomes of their 
students."

Nominations close 12 May 2006.  To nominate your school for one of the 57

2: And... the 2006 e-Learning Grants 

All primary schools throughout Australia are invited to apply for a 
Commonwealth Bank Foundation e-Learning Grant in 2006 from 1 May, 2006.

The e-Learning Grants aim to help develop literacy, numeracy and/or 
financial literacy skills in young Australians through e-learning 
programs.

Seventy (70) grants of $5,000 each are available to primary schools to 
implement creative programs to develop students' skills through the use 
of technology.

All Australian primary schools are eligible to apply for the grants ..
