I just have them build something they would show to a manager, all smoke and mirrors with dummy blogs, forums etc using edited screenshots. The CSS should work and the links should mostly work, the idea is they develop a proof-of –concept rather than a fully working site.

All

I finally have an IT Apps class. So long since my last one I have forgotten….

Just doing some planning etc.

Outcome 1 has us building websites for online communities.

Questions

1. Study Design (SD) defines by giving a list of what are websites for online communities. Wikis blogs etc. Do we have to author one of these?

2. The SD also lists the web functions or HTML features eg CSS that we must use. If I go online and just find a site and use their tools to build a wiki is that enough. Seems to me that you would not get to use a lot of HTML if you did that.

Or have I missed the point and not given enough value to the words “create a prototype website…”

Please help. Comments?

Brendyn
