This just in from Robert may solve your problem Laurie

Since my original email to you, and after Laurie Savage noted that he
had received a winmail.dat attachment, I have Googled on the winmail.dat
file and am now a bit more knowledgeable :-)

Seems that if Outlook is set up to use Rich Text as its format for
sending emails, the winmail.dat file happens and other file attachments
are often buried inside the winmail.dat file. As only Outlook can handle
the winmail.dat file, those of us using other email clients miss out on
attachments. I use Windows Mail, the Vista version of Outlook Express
and that does not even show the winmail.dat file as an attachment.

I finally got Andrew's file by sending a copy of his email to my wife
who uses Outlook. She "saw" the .doc attachment, saved it and resent it
back to me. Her Outlook is set up correctly to not send winmail.dat
attachments. You might find this site interesting
