We are also running with Macbook Pros this year for staff and some student
notebooks.

We are also dual booting as well - so far no major problems with student
ones. We are deploying the Macbook Pros to staff during this term -
probably a few teething problems and getting used to the mouse touchpad.

The challenge has been finding a way to roll out a hard disk image without
using a Mac server. We are planning to investigate a Mac server in the
future and trying to put the Mac OS/X side on the network and making it
play nice with Windows Server 2008 :-)

Our Macs will also be used in the VisComm / Arts area, but hoping to use
them later in other areas as well depending on costs. Macbook Pro's retail
for approx $2K depending on specs whilst the Macbooks are a lot cheaper
(around $1.2K).

Software on both sides work well - haven't had any issues yet. Also good
thing about dual boot is that you can't trash the other drive (eg: in
Windows, the Mac drive is read only, and vice versa).
