[Year 12 IT Apps] Question on critical path

Dear All,

a critical path for a project is the series of activites that determine the earliest time by which the project can be completed.

Emphasis on "earliest time".

In a trial exam my students did some put that the "critical path is the longest path which a project cannot be delayed wthout delaying the entire project"

Emphasis on "longest time". Would this answer be accesptable in an exam?
Is it "earliest time" or "longest path" or both is ok.
