[Year 12 IT Apps] Data tables?

Thanks, Mr Special K. It does seem to reinforce the feeling that when
they say "data tables" they in fact mean something else.

Interestingly, in the glossary it says of Design Tools:

"...Tools to represent designs include data flow diagrams, flow charts,
pseudocode, Input-Process-Output charts, structure tables, charts and
diagrams, annotated diagrams/mock-ups, storyboards, layout diagrams."

No mention of 'data tables'. And the punctuation is ambiguous.

Is "structure tables, charts and diagrams," actually an awkwardly
compressed rendition of "structure tables, STRUCTURE charts and
STRUCTURE diagrams"?

If so, perhaps they should have said:

"...Tools to represent designs include: data flow diagrams; flow charts;
pseudocode; Input-Process-Output charts; structure tables, charts and
diagrams; annotated diagrams/mock-ups; storyboards; layout diagrams."

Who said semicolons were useless ;-) Anyway, I can only guess what it's
trying to say, but if you read the gospel literally, you have to accept
that it's saying that "charts and diagrams" are design tools.

I hate having to guess what critical documents like study designs are
mandating. Another thing for the new study design to sort out, Paula.

While calculated fields can be stored, the conventional wisdom is that they are not efficient when used in a field, but ok in a query or view.
