You can also do:
 
<ctrl><printscreen>
open paint
<ctrl><v> to paste the screen-print into paint
use selection tool to select part that you want
<ctrl><c> (copy)
<ctrl><v> to paste into your word document etc.

fastStoe seems to cost $20 per seat.
Have Screenhunter 5 installed all whole school for free.

HiI made these instructions for staff to use FastStone Capture to grab parts of screens.I can't send zipped exes using gmail - but email me if you want a copy.Version 5.3 is the last freeware - and it has a standalone version that runs without istallation even off a USB.
