[Year 12 IT Apps] Internet Usage, Partner School, Installfest & Miniconference..

We have a no-ipod policy at our place but teachers may select music appropriate if they wish for the whole class. However, we usually have kids with headphones in IT classes so as not to distract others..multi-media development etc, you know..
With the changes(building program) happening at our school who knows what will be the case this year but usually, we dont have any major issues as you would kinda hope in a smaller school.
The myspace and facebook etc issues still surface occasionally and our monthly usage is usually dented via student music downloads but usually not much more than that. Attitudes are changing so it will be interesting to see where it takes us..

Still looking for a partner school for my y12 IT Apps class of 3 students. Anyone close who can help out? Havent heard back from the folk at St. Arnaud as a possible option so am still looking. I really dont want an audit 2 years running please...
If the minimum is 5 students to miss the audit I might be able to convince 2-3 of my y11's to do Unit 3 depending on them and the co-ordinators here, its an option I still might have.

A bit over a week to go now..hmmm

Also, the Moodle installfest, is that on next Saturday? Details please...
And the miniconference at Melb Uni..Details needed for that too please..

Hi Bill

McKinnon's is at
http://www.mckinnonsc.vic.edu.au/school/aup/aup.htm

Since it's recently become a local issue, I've drafted a new policy on
the use of ipods/phones/MP3 players etc too, which is attached.

and here's a link to a page on AUPs that might be useful...

Enjoy!
