Heres a thought..
A search can be general, I guess... whereas a query tends to be more filtered(specific)...how bout that?

Subject: [Year 12 IT Apps] ITA sample questions revisited

In the sample questions for the new course...
http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vce/studies/infotech/it-applications/exams.html

Section B, question 3. I'm stumped trying to work out the difference
between doing a search and doing a query.

Are they not the same thing in Access? You find certain values in one
or more fields and show the results...

Except a query can also calculate new values from existing data.

Any other difference?

Mark
