[Year 12 IT Apps] Web page skill requirements?

Michael - the students have to do more Web work in Unit 4 so my Dreamweaver work will aid both tasks as I have girls who have never done web design or creation at all.

Note that the designs of the website have to be detailed so they need to understand what is possible.

PS time allowance = minimum 6 x 53 minutes - will see how they go and may add some time

A very useful correction sheet, Fiona.

However, as a late starter on this outcome I am confused by the level of
web authoring expertise the students require.
They are creating only a prototype - which as I understand needs to show
functions useful to virtual teams, not actually do them - yet teachers
are spending so much time on learning folios with Dreamweaver and
FrontPage.

I am aware of the skill requirements of the web packages as outlined by
VCAA in the software functions paper.
There seems to be a contradiction (again). Students need to demonstrate
a variety of high level skills yet produce a web site that doesn't do
much.

Or do I have it wrong (again)?

At this stage  I am planning 8x55=440mins, commencing in week 6
Analysis~1
Design~2
Development~3
Evaluation~2

However the mark allocations in the assessment guide would suggest that
students should spend 2/5 of the time on evaluation and 3/5 on analysis,
design and development.

I have attached the criteria sheet that I will use.

How long are you giving students to complete Unit 3 SAC 2?  I have
looked a few people's resources.  One says 540 mins, the other says
375
mins.  I have looked in the VCE handbooks but can't find what I am
looking for.

As a first year ICT teacher I have found this list to be a terrific
forum to share resources, it is great that the "ICT family" is so
generous with regards to their own hard work.
I am using frontpage for U3O2, is there anyone out there who has some
frontpage activities for my students to do, when I came into the

I could not find any resources to do with frontpage. I really need
some
help so if there is anyone out there who has some frontpage activities
then I would be very, very appreciative.

I know that Moodle is a widely used content management system, but we
have been using Edukate for the past few years. I would be very glad

hear from any other schools using Edukate as their online content
