I first heard about moodle from a former colleague before we had the current version of the study design using Virtual collab.
Also have discovered that by simply typing in Moodle.com on my web connection it takes me to a site which just happens to tell lots about it.
The current version doesnt take long to set up on the network, at least thats what my techie told me.
I aint no expert yet but am learnin' fast!
Its been 2 days only of use and my kids love it already. Even getting other students asking about this 'moodle stuff ' to me, they think its got such a cool name!.

Heres a good little intro I used yesterday with my newbies to this program (me too!).

Sent a moodle to one student and posed a problem to them which has several steps to it. (What makes a good website? was the question. )
I started with point number 1 from me and said to that student, add number 2 and send the message on to someone else..(in the group)
Sortof like chinese whispers electronically (or pyramid junk mail!).

Getting some interesting responses, but at least it is getting them doing VIRTUAL COLLABORATION!

Cheers..Hic!

A moodle is the result of crossing a cow and a dog.

The _other_ moodle can be researched at http://moodle.com <http://moodle.com/>
