[Year 12 IPM] OT: VELS ICT

I attended our local principals network meeting and made it fairly clear
on the potential problem. It was part of an information session on open
source software and open standards. I mentioned the problems with images
and proprietry RAW converters etc and the implications for school
archival material.
I suggested that a move to open standards would not only help alleviate
the problem, but it would help inter-school communication and co-operation.
