[Year 12 IPM] Copyright amendment 2006

Yeah, that makes sence. I was just wondering because I was talking to our
legal/accounting teacher and he was talking how when they bought in the GST
the study design had just started but they couldn't teach GST for years
afterwards because it wasn't in the study design.
I haven't read the bill much at all but from what I can tell it will mean
that a lot of stuff that people already do at school will be legal,
especially in the library.

The study design's glossary says we need to teach Copyright Act 1968
(plus its amendments*). So if "the ipod" law (what is that?) is in the
Copyright Act, we need to teach it.

If it's not in the (C) act but affect info privacy or intellectual
property, I'd teach it anyway :-)

* Note that in ITA we no longer teach the Privacy Amendment (Private
Sector) Act 2000. Teach it as part of the Privacy Act 1988.
Also the Copright Amendment (Digital Agenda) is no longer taught
separately - it's part of the (C) act now.
