I assume that you will have permanent bookings and semi-permanent
ones. BookIt allows you to nominate some bookings as permanent i.e.
the class needs the facility/ resource every lesson every week. Semi
permanent bookings can be nominated as well i.e. the class is booked
into room 19 (computer room) but does not need the computers every
lesson and the teacher of the class will negotiate a room swap when
appropriate for his/ her class. These different bookings show in
different colours ....

You could
limit the time ahead bookings could be made (I think BookIt has this
setting)
limit each teacher to one booking per week
limit each KLA to two bookings per week
limit bookings by each teacher to a specified number each term

The problem with all of these is that they require an oversight i.e.
someone to manage them and this means that the value of BookIt is
reduced as a booking tool, but it is still of use as a planning tool.
