[Year 12 IPM] excel merge

You need to concatenate your student's name with the text you wish to
add - eg
=A3 & " Has worked well"

The ampersand is the concatenation operator; the text you wish to add
has to be in inverted commas.

	hi

i hope this is not too silly a question

im trying to get excel to do something fairly simple but i keep
coming unstuck

i want it to insert a name from a colum into a line of text

a simple cell reference will insert the name but as soon as u
add other text u get an error message

	 (see attached screen dump)

	any ideas out there?
