I suspect that Harry has not logged into Ultranet for quite some time .....


The following lists the key areas of change that will impact on Harry's students, taking effect from 12 April 2012.



This release includes 155 new functionality enhancements. Some of these include;



Learning Tasks

  *   Quick confirmations - a multiple entry confirmation screen which enables teachers to enter confirmations for a specific VELs Learning Item, across an entire class
  *   Quick assessments - a multiple feedback screen which enables teachers to enter feedback (marks, grades, comments, demonstrations) for a specific Learning Item, across an entire class
  *   The landing page lists recent activities by all the teachers' students
  *   All screens now include the student name, learning item title and contains class and folders
  *   A new consolidated interface has been introduced for all students
  *   Parents now have an additional student filter which enables them to view records for a particular child
  *   Exporting and Importing learning tasks is now easy and quick to use



Class Screen

  *   The user is able to filter the displayed data by individual student, groups of students  and classes
  *   Student progress is indicated by cell colour - red, amber, green. This is now clear and easy to use
  *   Student and activity filters have been added
  *   An assessment column is displayed which indicates the assessement type

Minor updates

  *   Ability to delete learning items once they have been created
  *   Improvements to manually collapsing folders
  *   Drop down box can now be easily selected in a Reference Item
  *   Copying learning items in Personal Planning and Class screens have been enhanced
  *   The scroll bar within the CK Editor has been made bigger for ease of use
  *   The Learning Tasks can now be configured to display different background images, and users can select how student names are displayed



Content

  *   The ability to upload multiple files to School, this has simplified the process for all users
  *   A new 'Copy Link' button on the Content Information page has been added. There is no need to copy the URL manually as the new button will perform this process
  *   Enhancements to the Endorsed Landing Page where new and popular content is now showcased
  *   Endorsed interactive resources from YDP can now be easily searched for by the resource ID
  *   Flagged content can be seen and accessed within My Content, making it easier for users to make timely responses



Portal

  *   Users are now able to create a set of commonly used tags and apply these to applications such as wikis
  *   Improvements to notices where the processes have been simplied for all users to send and view notices
  *   Collaborative Favourites application has been enhanced, which will allow users to easily add content
  *   Users will now have the ability to add content items directly into an iFrame via a 'Select' button
  *   The attendance widget is now clearer and easier to use



Reports

Reports have been enhanced allowing the following;

o   Compatible in IE8, IE9 and Safari

o   All the reports have three functions, refresh, report and print

o   The Learning profile spider graph appears as a default on the landing page



Minior upgrades include;

o   Due date column has been added to help avaluate the status of the learning item

o   Graphs have been resized

o   Easy to select options, including term, year, teacher name and learning item

o   Columns can now be dragged

o   All graphs appear above the table for easy access

o   Additional clear button has been added

o   Names on the graphs

o   Ability to drill to student progress details
