Another cool opensource product that was built on VLC is Miro. Forget about
the format wars. Miro can play MPEG, Quicktime, AVI, H.264, Divx, Windows
Media, Flash Video, and almost every other codec that you can throw at it.
Best of all, you can search for and view these from inside the browser ..
even episodes on the ABC. I chewed up my Internet bandwidth last month on a
frenzy of free subscriptions and tutorials that I must now sit back and
enjoy watching .. (sigh)

I have another tool in our ICT toolkit that our librarian raves on and on
about that works with Miro. :-)
