Hi Lorraine.

Great article, love the fact that it is localised to Melbourne.  I have used 'The true cost' as an intro for my year 11's.  But weaving in local designers doing or not doing their bit for the industry is fabulous.  I would love to help the students become more passionate about sustainability.  

It concerns me that it just becomes yet another term they need to be able to discuss their exams.

I remember a wonderful site that encouraged young people to sign up and pledge that they don't buy any fashion items for a year. As a participant you could log in each day and describe what you were wearing from your existing wardrobe.  I think it would be a great way to immerse students into this very important aspect of what we teach.  If any schools would be interested in a school based such event let me know.
