Having been to “the Future is Here” exhibition it is great. 3D printing in action, laser cut furniture with the actual product assembled and next to it the flat plywood with all the bits laser cut but looking like a jigsaw (if that makes sense), fabric that is 3D printed and glows when a light is shone on it and it goes on.

I am taking my year 11 students as they will never get to see so many of these “emerging technologies” next year and it will stick in their minds because it’s great.

We will also go to the “Mid Century Modern Australian Furniture Design” at the National Gallery because that showcases the technological developments in the late ‘50s – ‘70s and the impact on design.

If you can’t take your students … take yourself.

Hi folks,
I was looking into using Board Works for DT resources today. It looks like it has a lot of potential as a resource portal.

Is anyone using this product and if so, do you find it any good? I understand some schools have school accounts for this website.
Cheers,
