Thanks Dean, just found that one.

A good little selection of images - all textiles. The idea it gives about the scale of the work will help though!

Has anyone been to Top Designs this year, and who can report on the level of Resistant Materials (Particularly furniture) on offer this year that might be helpful for a class who predominates towards VET building and construction?

Cheers,
David.

David,

TOP designs also released a powerpoint last year breaking down the criteria with supporting images. Hopefully they will do the same this year which I have found really useful so have a look on the Melbourne Museum website for more info.

Regards

Dean.

Subject: Old Year 12 portfolios

Hi all,

I'm in the process of teaching Year 12 Product Design and Technology (Resistant Materials) for the first time, and in a school that has not run the VCE for approx. 5 years (as far as I know!). I'm new to both the study, and to a degree the school, and at the moment there's no real documentation from the past to refer back to.

I was hoping someone in the EMR region (or wider) might be able to help me with some student portfolios from previous years that I could borrow, scan, and return? Just so I have a visual resource of high-marking SAT task portfolios to show the students? I've got a long back-history teaching Studio Art and Art at year 12, so I'm good with the portfolio process, but visual examples suit the kids better.

If anyone wouldn't mind me borrowing some old student portfolios they may have lying around from this study design, please give me a buzz!

Cheers,
David Pitt
