Event: Design Thinking for Education
FREE

The need for creativity and innovation in education has never been more
important. The design consultancy IDEO and Stanford University, in addition
to other organizations, see potential in design thinking innovating in
pedagogy and curriculum. A range of theories and practices are currently
deployed at all levels of education to engage students in learning and help
them develop the attitudes and skills that will most benefit their future
in society.

Suported by the Office of Learning and Teaching (OLT), and following our
continued interest in this area, we've gathered four leading voices working
at the intersection of creativity and education to each present a ten
minute vignette on the significance of creativity and innovation for all
sectors of education. The discussion is then followed by a public Q&A on
the present and future of design thinking in education.

Professor Neil Anderson (Rural Education), JCU University
Professor Sarah Pink (Visual Anthropology), RMIT University
Professor Nita Cherry (Leadership), Swinburne University
Mr Tom Barrett, NoTosh.

We warmly invite you to a glimpse of the present and future of design
thinking in education
