NATIONAL ENGINEERING TRADES APPRENTICE/ TRAINEE OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2014

The MEIA Apprentice/Trainee of the Year Awards seek to acknowledge apprentices' exceptional contributions to their workplace, and to raise awareness of career opportunities in the engineering and manufacturing sector. To enter your chosen category, you must either be currently undertaking that course or have completed it within the calendar year 2013.

Categories are:

 *   Metal Fabrication - Heavy                  (e.g. boilermaking)
 *   Metal Fabrication - Light                    (e.g. sheet metal)
 *   Engineering Mechanical                    (e.g. fitting / machining)
 *   Engineering Drafting                          (e.g. CAD)
Applications must be completed and submitted by the apprentice or trainee themselves, with assistance from their employer and Registered Training Organisation to ensure the answers are completed as fully as possible.

The MEIA Sculpture of the Year Awards seek to acknowledge innovative uses of metals and associated materials, and to raise awareness of opportunities in the engineering and manufacturing sector.

To enter your chosen category, you must either be currently undertaking a secondary or tertiary course of have completed it within the calendar year 2013.

Officially launched on July 1st 2013, the Manufacturing & Engineering Institute of Australia aims to be a bridge between established, larger industry associations and SME's in metal forming, manufacturing and engineering.
