  ACMI is a world-first centre dedicated to exploring the moving image in all its forms and delivers innovative programs of exhibitions, screenings and events, including targeted programs designed to support teachers and students.
   
  In April 2013 ACMI is proud to present the Hollywood Costume exhibition, direct from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. This spectacular exhibition explores the central role costume design plays in cinema storytelling. Bringing together the most iconic costumes from a century of filmmaking, it offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see clothes worn by unforgettable and beloved characters in films, and is a celebration of and an education in the art of costume design in film.
   
  As part of our program supporting the Hollywood Costume exhibition ACMI Education will provide a careers forum for senior secondary and TAFE/tertiary students and teachers on Thursday 9 May 2013 at 10am. The forum will aim to support secondary school students as they consider potential careers across a diverse range of design careers.
   
  Careers by Design
  10am – 1pm, Thursday 9 May 2013
  $18 per student (includes exhibition entry)
  In this forum students hear from a range of guests about working in design and are offered insights into design career pathways.  Students have the opportunity to learn more about careers in design and to ask any burning questions they may have about achieving their career goals. Suitable for Years 9-12, TAFE, Tertiary students and teachers.
