[Design and Technology] Education Services Australia: Scootle

Scootle, is an online repository of over 16 000 digital resources linked to the Australian Curriculum, funded by the Australian Government. Attached is a flyer.
Teachers in all states and territories other than Queensland and New South Wales can now freely register for Scootle and these states will provide access to their teachers in the near future.

Scootle is a service delivered by Education Services Australia on behalf of the Australian Government and the Australian states and territories. It is a tool with many thousands of items of digital content supported by powerful search and browse functions. It also has features that enable teachers to organise lessons, share content with students and collaborate with colleagues. 

What is pivotal for teachers is the connection of the content to the Australian Curriculum. Teachers can browse or search for resources based on an Australian Curriculum content description. Search results can be refined by using filters that enable the location of content for specific year levels, general capabilities and cross-curriculum priorities.

While teachers in some states and territories have been using Scootle for a number of years it is only now being made available to teachers more widely.

Teachers can access Scootle by registering on the Scootle website: www.scootle.edu.au
