[Design and Technology] Life-saving technology for the developing world

Newborn jaundice has a very simple cure. Unfortunately, treating it is quite difficult in developing countries. Design That Matters, a non-profit focused on creating products that allow social enterprises in developing countries to offer improved services, designed a phototherapy device that improves newborn jaundice treatment. Their team used SolidWorks software to create 3D CAD and early prototypes helping them to overcome design and implementation barriers-allowing them to bring life-saving treatment to underprivileged infants.
