[Melbourne Now]
Melbourne Now Information Night

Melbourne Now is the most ambitious and far-reaching exhibition to be presented by the National Gallery of Victoria. It celebrates contemporary Melbourne and the creative practitioners who have profoundly contributed to its unique and dynamic cultural landscape. Melbourne Now will encompass a dynamic program featuring the work of over 120 artists as well as architectural and design projects and commissions, commissions for kids and families and a community hall. The exhibition will take place across 8000 square metres of exhibition space over both NGV buildings and extend into the city itself.

Melbourne Now will explore issues relevant to Melbourne, right now, with a focus on dynamic engagement, cultural diversity, indigenous cultures, community, participation and sustainability. The exhibition includes both established and emerging local artists and designers and will inspire the next generation of young artists, designers and creative thinkers.

An exciting range of programs for students of all ages, from early years to tertiary: from introductory talks to immersive programs including workshops and summer schools will be available in conjunction with Melbourne Now.

Start your planning and preparation for Melbourne Now by attending the free information night for educators.
