European Year of Creativity and Innovation
2009 is the European Year of Creativity and Innovation. The aim of the
Year is to raise awareness of the importance of creativity and
innovation for personal, social and economic development, to disseminate
good practice, stimulate education and research, and to promote policy
debate on how to increase Europe's creative and innovative potential.
Themes include:

*	fostering creativity at all education levels, including in
vocational, and non-formal settings
*	maintaining engagement with creative forms of self-expression
throughout adult life; and
*	ensuring that mathematics, science and technology promote an
active, innovative mindset.
