I am unable to get to this, as my son has something on... will there be any sharing of the information supplied on the list?

It has been a while since I have taught Design Tech and want to make sure my year 12s are as prepared as possible for the exam.

Cheers

Resins are very toxic but a good one for schools is the solid cast 650 hard polyeurethane plastic. It can be used safely without exhaust extraction and hardens in 30 minutes. Dyes can also be added. The only problem with it is it can have lots of bubbles.

Casting Resin and the dangers

I hope that no teacher is allowing students to go near casting resin as the
health issues are extreme. A child's major organs are still developing and
any contact with a casting resin that is known to contribute to cancer and a
variety of other chronic health issues, will result in more serious damage
to a child, compared to the damage done to an adult.

I wouldn't touch the stuff why use it ? Think carefully before exposing
yourself as an adult but never a child ie. under 18 years of age.
