John, we have 2 of these machines and have found them to be very useful for PCB and Mechatronics parts manufacture. For the best advice on this subject go to http://www.intellecta.net/ or contact Tony Pugatschew of Intellecta on 0419 801 392 or 08 8351 8288. 
These machines work best with PCB design and make and PTC Prodesktop and Proengineer 3D design software.

does anyone have the "Roland Modela" 3D milling machines in their school?  If so could you give me a summary of how you use it, its value and cost.  Very interested in this or similar.
