³Don¹t Look and it Wont Hurt II²
 
Life sized, full frontal nudes confront the viewer of the Australian Academy
of Design¹s latest exhibition. Presented in black and white on tracing paper
with annotations hand written on the body, the images challenge and comfort.
 
Michelle Mantsio¹s Don¹t Look and It Won¹t Hurt II, an installation work
consisting of a photographic series of 29 nudes, forms part of Mantsio¹s PhD
thesis which explores the concept of safe place through the comfort of
numbers. 

Mantsio will discuss her work at a Meet The Artist evening on Wednesday 21
May, 6.30-8.30pm at the Australian Academy of Design at 220 Ingles St, Port
Melbourne
