CRAFT VICTORIA SEEKS CHIEF EXECUTIVE / ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

 

Craft Victoria, one of Australia's leading craft organisations, is seeking a creative leader to drive future achievement. The role provides the opportunity for a leading edge thinker in craft and/or design to put their stamp on an already successful organisation and lift it to even greater heights.  

 

The role requires demonstrable leadership in both the theory and practice of craft as well as sound managerial skills. Ably supported by a small team, including a General Manager, you will be responsible for conceptualising and overseeing the delivery of an annual program of exhibitions, seminars and talks. You will also take the lead in building and maintaining strong relationships with funding bodies as well as growing the organisation's finances through membership, retail and donations. 

 

As Chief Executive you will report directly to the Board and will be responsible for ensuring Board members are fully briefed and the organisation is able to fulfil its statutory and fiduciary responsibilities.

 

This is a singular opportunity to lead a nationally recognised creative organisation that is a strong advocate for craft and design.  The role is based in Melbourne and offers a competitive salary package (circa 70k) for the successful applicant. A part-time appointment may be possible.
