[Informatics] Good website for SAT resources

Hi Jayanti,

I would echo pretty much what Fred has said also. I taught it the first year it ran and again this year. I’ve told the kids pretty much the same, because they will be working on things in different formats:

· Gantt chart (either Excel or I’ve directed them to Gantt project)

· Excel document listing their digitised data

· Data manipulations (in whatever format these take. Most likely excel spreadsheets and graphs/charts)

· Samples of any surveys they have used (not the entire collection just a couple so I can check their methods and techniques as well as privacy)

· Word document detailing and explaining what, how and why they have done different things. For example, they will present their manipulated data to me but I want them also to tell me what it is they have done with this data.

Any questions then keep posting here or feel free to get in touch.

Cheers,

Hi,

I am teaching Informatics for the first time. If you have taught this subject before, would you be able to share a sample of past student work i.e. finished website.

For Criteria 3 & Criteria 4, I have asked students to collect data from primary & secondary source + qualitative & quantitative data. I will also be asking to use various tools to analyse & interpret the data. My questions is what are documents shall I ask my students to hand-in?

Regards,
Jayanti Nayak
