I've got my beady eye on TurnkeyLinux [MySQL] server and will install 
'MyWebSql' package over the top of that.
My intention is to give each student their own server to maintain, 
failing that, have each access the server at school,starting their own 
database.
TurnkeyLinux are most excellent in their packages.
They have another one purely for project management called 'RedMine' and 
i'll check that out also.
