[Informatics] Primary Samples

Many of my class have set up Google forms for surveys. They had to think a bit on how they were going to get enough responses, but with a few hints many have gone to send it to students they know at other schools, or used social media to recruit responses. I also shared the survey URLs using school wide distribution lists.

It's also been educational for them in realising that asking students to fill in surveys does not always elicit useful, valid data!

Subject: [Informatics] Primary Samples

Hello All,

Students from smaller country schools will find it difficult to round up anywhere near 100 subjects for primary data collection. Using social media or email to recruit potential respondents appears to be the only option. Thoughts?
