[Agriculture and Horticulture ] Lord of the Weeds competition

Dear All,

 

I am emailing with regard to 'Lord of the Weeds' - a national secondary
schools competition. In 2006, due to previous success, and the financial
support offered, the Lord of the Weeds will offer a total of $4700 in prize
money to the winning schools. The competition has accompanying teacher
resources. This includes, lesson suggestions, proformas to guide students to
write the report, and the marking guide used to select the winners.  With
the financial support offered by the Weed Management society of Victoria, in
2006, the competition will be offering additional prize money to a selected
school and student in Victoria. For this reason, we would like to encourage
more schools in Victoria to become involved in this competition. Please be
aware, for Victorian schools the closing date for registration to the
competition has been extended to the 7th of June. (The closing date for the
reports is the 1st of August).

 

It is worth noting, in 2005, the winning report for senior secondary
division of this competition came from a Victorian school. This student was
nominated and then won, the Victorian Weedbusters Educational award. To view
