  • Program Design through Visual Basic by Shackleton and McConville, Data Publishing, 1996.Good basic level for an intro on VB - covers prob solving, data input,pseudocode,, testing and debugging, modules, functions, arrays,documentation, search and sorts.
  •  Visual Basic for Business Applications by Davey and McConville, Data Publishing, 1997.Covers IS types, structure of code, menus, connecting to a DBMS, OLE's,images, help menus (for Ver 3), interface design, validation.
  • Modern Structured Analysis by Edward Yourdon. Published by Yourdon Press Computing Series, 1989.

  • System Development Models by Laurie Courtier ( Eastern House Tel 92136605 ) good for overall systems analysis and tools used.
