INTRODUCTION

This web update complements the textbook IT @ Work: information processing and management. The update consists of the following segments for the outcomes in Unit 4 of VCE Information Processing and Management:

  • Sample assessment tasks: two assessment tasks each for Outcomes 1 and 2, and sample exam questions. These assessment tasks are based on the following organisation profiles in the textbook IT @ Work:
    – ‘Hilltop’ Dairy farm (page 30)
    – Nirvana Gymnastics Club Inc (page 29)
    – Environment Educators Association (page 31)
    – CyberStudio (page 32).
  • Supplements: a cross-reference grid which matches the examination criteria published by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority with the key knowledge dot points, relevant pages and activities from the textbook and relevant CD-ROM activities.
  • Data files: text and image files for use in one Outcome 1 assessment task.

The first update for 2001 was published in March 2001 and is available from this website. It contains similar material for Unit 3. The review questions for Units 3 and 4 contained in the March 2000 and July 2000 web updates can be used as exam revision questions.
