I have access to the App Inventor via Google - you do need a Google account which is not too much of a problem for many of the students.

>From here you need to have a Gmail account. For students who don't want to keep the Gmail account, I have asked them to tell me their gmail account and password - so they do not need to worry about leaning it. But that was for my students - you may not want to do this.

Hi All,

I am also running an APP inventor course, we are using APP Inventor set up and hosted by Google and MIT its not too bad runs quite well - the course is in the 2nd year now and plenty of students have chosen it, however many did not realise it was not an APPLE APP course. We use a program that connects to an emulator.

Is anyone running a mobile programming course?



I have 2 in the pipeline with a drag and drop mobile phone software that connects to an emulator or a phone, and the eclipse/android SDK. This took days to work out the setup.
