IMHO - At the end of the day, the only workable solution is teacher
vigilance. Open it up, but reinforce that teachers must monitor what is
happening in class. We have done away with computer "pods" that were out
of sight and put the general use computers in other classrooms (that can
fit them in).
 Teachers know that:
1) If they are in a classroom with general use computers they are to
just keep tabs on what visiting students are doing,
2) If they send students to use the computers/net out of class, they
know that the students will still be sort of supervised.
There will never be a software solution that can replace adult
supervision. We emphasise that to our parents as well.
Cheers
Cameron
